March Madness: Nashville Burger Tournament

There have been several comments over at the Bites blog discussing a 64 restaurant burger tournament. So BP and I, being fans of the burger and college basketball, will be bringing you a bracket style Nashville Burger Tournament. The 64 finalist (we don't have a play in game) will be announced on Selection Sunday March 14th. Then the first and second round will be held March 17-21. The Regionals will be held March 25-28. The Final Four will be on April 1-3 and the Finals will be held April 3-4. This will be a voting style tournament. So gear up and get ready to vote your favorite burger to victory.

We have all of the obvious choices, but if you have a diamond in the rough with a strong RPI. Then leave us a comment and they will be considered.

I maintain that McCabe Pub has a fantastic bacon cheeseburger. Best in town? I dunno about that but it is top 10 in my book.

I'll be following with burger-bated breath.

Can we fill out our own brackets?

I am not sure about your own bracket. I am working with someone to create something that will be pretty interactive. So we will see what comes of it.

Michael,
McCabe is on the list. They are looking at a #5 seed right now. Will there be a potential #12 seed over a #5? You never know.

The Melrose Pub on 8th has been knocking it out of the park with their burgers. Definitely a contender.

I am all about the "Old Hickory Sliders" at Richland. Do sliders count?

I'd love to be on the selection committee for this field of 64. Awesome.

strike and spare is not on the list. I have just never been a fan of eating at the bowling ally. something about my sweaty hands in side the 14lb ball
